Business Challenge

Expanding its portfolio of digital services and growing its customer base required cloud-level data center scalability. T‑Systems also sought to provision services faster and raise the bar on service performance and availability. It turned to software-defined networking (SDN) and a nonblocking data center switching architecture from Juniper to achieve its goals.

"Automation and orchestration were key requirements, since they would allow us to provision services to customers and capitalize on new opportunities such as multicloud more quickly."
Thomas Wende Head of Data Center Network Engineering, T‑Systems
