Indonet’s network offers more than 40 points of presence across 11 cities in Indonesia, with data center services and direct connections to Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Alibaba Cloud Express. With customers’ digital needs growing fastest in Jakarta, Indonet’s business leaders were planning to scale up its metro networks and data center interconnection services. Indonet needed an integrated platform for the metro edge and IP transit that would deliver higher capacity, greater reliability, and the excellent user experience that Indonet seeks to provide.
Indonet chose Juniper’s ACX7100 cloud metro routers to support a distributed design that pushes routing decisions to the edge for greater scalability and better digital experiences. With a 400G network upgrade beginning in the metro Jakarta area, Indonet can deliver highly reliable, high-speed metro Ethernet, internet access, and private L2/L3 VPNs to customers. It can scale up its metro connections from 10GbE to 100GbE and its data center and cloud connectivity services from 100GbE to 400GbE.

With Juniper ACX cloud metro routers, Indonet can deliver secure, high-bandwidth digital services in the high-growth Indonesia market. It uses Juniper ACX7100 routers for the metro core and for data center connectivity and Juniper ACX7024 routers for metro aggregation. The ACX7100 router delivers 4.8 Tbps throughput with 100GbE-to-400GbE port flexibility in an energy-efficient 1-U form factor. The environmentally rated ACX7024, also a 1-U form factor, delivers 360 Gbps throughput with 24 multirate 1/10/25 ports and four 100GbE ports for scalable cloud metro services.
With ACX7100 routers, Indonet gained next-generation capabilities that support L2 Ethernet services, segment routing, MPLS, SRv6, Ethernet VPN-Virtual Extensible LAN (EVPN), advanced programmability, and telemetry. Indonet also gained Zero Trust security with MACsec encryption, secure boot, and other enhanced security capabilities.
Indonet uses Juniper Apstra intent-based networking to automate and validate the design, deployment, and operation of the ACX routers for its metro networks and data center interconnect as well as the Juniper QFX switches it already used for its data center fabric.
