Overview

Supporting 80 Tbps of system capacity today, the SDN-ready MX2020 3D Universal Edge Router offers the highest capacity, performance, and density in a single-chassis edge routing platform.

Each MX2020 supports up to 1,920 10GbE interfaces, 480 40GbE interfaces, or 320 100GbE interfaces, as well as legacy SONET/SDH, ATM, and PDH connectivity and broadband subscriber management. Its sophisticated timing and virtualization capabilities meet the stringent requirements of mobile services. With its scale and industry-leading feature set, including advanced power saving options, the MX2020 is ideal for edge, consolidated edge, and core applications.

The MX2020 delivers the highest levels of reliability with a resilient and fully redundant architecture. It shares common routing, control, and switching components and port and service cards with other MX Series platforms, providing investment protection for existing MX Series customers.
