    Managing Resources

You, the Service Designer, can specify the IPv4 IP addressing to include in Layer 3 VPN service definitions. Use the Prestage Devices > Manage Resources inventory page to view existing IP address pools that you created globally or for specific existing customers. Besides the IP address pool information, the status of various other resources such as VLAN IDs, virtual circuit IDs, route distinguisher, and route targets that are created for utilization in services is also displayed. You can also view the details of allocated or utilized resources, such as the VLAN ID allocated to the corresponding interface and the logical unit association with a particular interface on a device. For more information about creating an IPv4 IP address pool, see Creating an IP Address Pool.

    Viewing Resources

The Manage Resources inventory page lists the different resource pools that have been configured. For IP address pools, you can view the pool information in a table by name, pool type, the element that manages the resource, and allocation status. The Managed By column displays the managing entity of the pool. For an IP pool, this column displays the label as Global or customer name. For all pools other than IP pools, this column displays the device name for pools that contain the device ID in pool name (VLAN and logical unit of the interface).
