Configure Security Settings

Security policies require time to identify the L7 application in traffic and act accordingly. Default security settings are instrumental in providing protection during this period.

To configure default security settings:

  1. Click Security > Security Policies > Security Settings.
    The Security Settings page is displayed.
  2. Complete the configuration according to the guidelines in Table 1:

    Default Profiles

    IPS Profile

    Select a profile from the list to use as the default IPS profile on the device.

    Content Security Profile

    Select a profile from the list to use as the default Content Security profile on the device.

    To configure web filtering profile from Juniper Enhanced to Juniper NextGen, set the engine type to Juniper NextGen for default profiles and use a device-specific profile for individual devices.

    To view Juniper NextGen categories, you must have Junos OS version 23.4R1 or later installed.

    Decrypt Profile

    Select a profile from the list to use as the default decrypt profile on the device.

    Anti-malware Profile

    Select a profile from the list to use as the default anti-malware profile on the device.

    SecIntel Profile Group

    Select a profile from the list to use as the default SecIntel profile group on the device.
