Create and Manage Device-Specific Profiles

Create and manage IPS and Content Security profiles at the individual device-level. These settings override the default security settings, allowing more granular, device-level security control.

Create Device-Specific Profile

To create a device-specific profile:

  1. Click Security > Security Policies > Security Settings.
    The Security Settings page is displayed.
  2. Click the plus icon ().
    The Create Device-Specific Profiles page is displayed.
  3. Complete the configuration according to the guidelines in Table 1:

    Field

    Description

    Devices

    Select the devices to apply device-specific profiles.

    Click the arrow (>) to move the selected devices from the Device Name column to the Selected Devices column. Use the search fields at the top of each column to find specific devices.

    IPS Profile

    Select the default IPS profile for the device. This IPS profile is used to detect and prevent malicious activity by inspecting traffic for known attack signatures and behaviors.

    Content Security Profile

    Select the default Content Security profile for the device. The default Content Security profile controls the web and file content filtering on the device.

  4. Click OK.
A new device-specific profile mapping is created. You can now deploy the security policy for your devices. For more information, see Deploy Security Policies.

Manage Device-Specific Profile

  • Edit—Select the device-specific profile and click the pencil icon (Blue pencil icon indicating edit functionality.).

  • Delete—Select the device-specific profile and click the trash can icon (Blue trash can icon representing delete or remove function.).
