Licensing Information
When you purchase a Juniper platform, our sales team guides you through the available licensing options to find the best fit for your business needs. Once you receive your license key, refer to the Juniper Licensing User Guide for activation instructions.
You don't need to purchase a new license if your platform device needs a replacement. You can simply transfer your existing license key to the new hardware. Complete details are available in theJuniper Licensing User Guide.
Licenses are valid for a specific number of years and must be renewed upon expiration. To renew your license, see How to renew platform device license?
Upgrading Junos OS
Juniper Networks platforms come with Junos OS pre-installed. When a new version that supports your device becomes available, refer to the Junos® OS Software Installation and Upgrade Guide to perform the upgrade. .
