About the DNS Filter Page
DNS filtering is the process of using the Domain Name System (DNS) to block malicious websites and filter out harmful or inappropriate content. This helps to ensures the data remains secure and allows you to have control over what you can access on company-managed networks.
Security Director enables you to configure, create and manage the DNS Filter policies for devices.
To access the DNS Filter page, click Configure> Firewall Policy> DNS Filter.

Field Descriptions
The following table describes the information displayed on the DNS Filter page:

Description |

Name |
The name of the filter. The name is unique, includes a number, an alphabet, and a special character other than < and >. |
Domain Allowlist |
Allowlist logs the DNS request and allows the access. For e.g.

Domain Blocklist |
Blocklist blocks access to the site by sending the client a DNS response that includes an IP address or domain name of a filter. |
Devices |
Name or IP addresses of the devices assigned to the filter. |
Publish State |
The publishing status of the filter. |
Domain |
The domain to which the filter is assigned. |
