Update a DNS Filter Policy

After you create and publish the policy, you must update the policy to deploy it on the devices. Use this page to select the devices to which the policy updates are to be applied.

Ensure that the policy is published. See Publish a DNS Filter Policy

To update the policies:

  1. Go to Configure> Firewall Policy> DNS Filter

    The DNS Filter page is displayed.

  2. Select the DNS filter and click Update.

    The Update DNS Filter Policy is displayed.

  3. Perform one of the following steps:

    • Select Run now to apply the configuration immediately.

    • Select Schedule at a later time to schedule and publish the configuration later

  4. Select the devices to which the policy changes will be published.
    Note:

    You can search for a specific device by name or IP address on which the policy is published.
  5. Click View under the Configuration tab to preview the configuration details of the selected device.
  6. Click Publish and Update

    You are prompted to confirm that you want to update and publish the policy.

  7. Click OK.

    The Job Details page is displayed with the following information: job type, job Id, job name, user name, job state, percentage completed, and the job timestamp. You can click Export to CSV to save the job details as a CSV file.

  8. Click OK.

    The DNS Filter page is displayed.
