show evpn oism dci
Syntax
show evpn oism dci <l3-context l3-context> <extensive>
Description
Display information about data center interconnection (DCI) enabled with optimized intersubnet multicast (OISM) elements to support multicast traffic efficiently across data centers running Ethernet VPN–Virtual Extensible LAN (EVPN-VXLAN).
Options
extensive |
(Optional) Display more detailed output. Without this option, the command displays brief output by default. |
l3-context l3-vrf-name |
(Optional) Display information only for the specified Layer 3 (L3) virtual routing and forwarding (VRF) routing instance. Without this option, this command displays information for all L3 VRF routing instances where you enabled DCI with OISM. |

Output Fields
Field Name and Output Level |
Field Description |
---|---|
L3 context (default) or EVPN L3 context (extensive) |
VRF routing instance name. |
OISM-Mode (default) or OISM Mode (extensive) |
OISM operating mode:
|
DCI Status (extensive) |
DCI status: Enabled or Disabled—Indicates whether or not the device is enabled to optimize multicast traffic over DCI using enhanced OISM. Note:
We support OISM with DCI only in enhanced OISM mode. |
I-ESI (extensive) |
Interconnection Ethernet Segment identifier (I-ESI) for the multihomed DCI gateway devices in a data center that communicate across the interconnection with the DCI gateways in the other data center. |
I-ESI status (extensive) |
I-ESI designated forwarder (DF) status of the DCI gateway device on which you run this command.
|
Designated forwarder (extensive) Backup forwarder (extensive) |
Device address of the DF and the backup forwarder (the non-DF) among the multihomed I-ESI DCI gateway devices in a data center. With DCI and enhanced OISM, the device control plane internally establishes and maintains a session for the DF status of the multihomed interconnect gateway devices on the I-ESI. The DF status of a DCI gateway device might change if connectivity in the data center or across the interconnection fails, or if one of the gateway devices goes down. Maintaining and synchronizing DF status session information between the DCI gateway devices in an I-ESI, which includes DF and non-DF next hops, reduces convergence time when the DF status of the devices in the I-ESI changes. The Designated forwarder and Backup forwarder fields also include the following DF status session values for each device:
