request system software activate (Junos OS Evolved)
Syntax
request system software activate with-old-snapshot-config version <reboot>
Description
Set the specified software version with its corresponding configuration as the next boot version. You can activate any installed software version except the current version.
You can only activate a software version with the saved configuration corresponding to
that version. Alternatively, to use the active configuration with the installed version,
first issue the request system software stage
version command. The command validates the active
configuration against the installed software version and copies the validated
configuration to the /data directory associated with that software
version. Then issue the request system software activate
with-old-snapshot-config version command to activate the
installed software version with the newly saved configuration.
