About the Optimization Profiles

To access the Optimization Profiles tab, click Network Optimization > Network > Network Optimization Intent.

On this tab, you can create optimization profiles, view the status (Published or Draft) and the number of intents linked to the optimization profile.

Optimization profiles define when the LSP must be recomputed, which can be later used to create path intents. For more information, see Network Optimization Overview and About the Network Optimization Intent Page.

Tasks You can Perform

  • View details of an optimization profile—You can select and view the details of an optimization profile. You can either click More > Detail or hover over the optimization profile and click the Detailed View icon. The Optimization Profile Details pane appears on the right side of the page displaying the details.

Click the Close (x) icon to close the pane.

  • Create an optimization profile— Click + to create an optimization profile. For more information, see Add an Optimization Profile.

  • Edit an optimization profile—To edit an optimization profile, select the optimization profile and click the pencil icon. After you edit, you can choose to save the optimization profile as a draft or publish the optimization profile.

Note: You cannot edit an optimization profile if it is linked to a path intent.
  • Delete an optimization profile—To delete an optimization profile, select an optimization profile and click the delete icon. A message confirms that Paragon Automation has successfully deleted the optimization profile.

Note: You cannot delete an optimization profile if it is linked to a path intent.

To perform common actions such as filtering using advanced filter criteria and resetting preferences, see Network Table Overview.

Field Descriptions

Table 1 lists the fields on the Optimization Profile tab.

Column Description
Name Displays the name of the optimization profile.
Description Displays the description that you have entered at the time of optimization profile creation.
Status Displays the status (Draft or Published) of the optimization profile.

Only published optimization profile can be attached to a path intent.

Linked Intents Displays the number of path intents the optimization profile is attached to.
