DC Edges and DC Switches

This topic describes the DC Edges and DC Switches pages on the main menu.

You can access information about the data center devices and the Apstra Edge devices in an organization on the Data Center Edges and Switches pages from the main menu on the left.

The DC Edges page displays the Apstra Edge devices and blueprints registered in the organization.

The DC Switches page displays detailed information about the devices in the data center managed by Apstra Data Center Director.

Note:

  • You can filter the displayed devices on both pages using the Org drop-down—by individual sites, site groups, or all sites.

  • If you are a superuser or a network admin with access to all sites, you can perform additional tasks on the DC Edges page.

Tasks You Can Perform

You can perform the following tasks on the DC Edges page:

  • Adopt Apstra Edge devices—You can register an Apstra Edge Device by clicking Adopt Apstra Edge and complete the registration process.

    See Adopt Juniper Apstra Edge.

  • View Apstra Edge devices registered in Juniper Data Center Assurance.

  • Run Pre-flight Checks—You can run pre-flight checks to verify the configurations of the Edge device and the blueprints.

  • Search by device name and view information about specific Apstra Edge devices.

You can perform the following tasks on the DC Switches page:

  • View information about the devices in the data center managed by Apstra Data Center Director—You can view information about the devices managed by all the Apstra instances that are connected to Juniper Data Center Assurance.

  • View information about specific devices by adding custom filters based on device name, vendor, device model, and so on.

Field Description for DC Edges Page

Table 1 lists the fields on the Data Centers tab.

Field

Description
Name Name of the Apstra data center edge device.
Registration Status Indicates the registration status of Apstra data center edge device. The edge device installed in a data center managed by Apstra Data Center Director must be registered in Juniper Data Center Assurance application to receive data center event information from Apstra.
Management URL URL of the Apstra Data Center Director instance.
Cloud Connectivity Connectivity status of Juniper Data Center Assurance application with Juniper Apstra data center edge device. Juniper Data Center Assurance application can receive event information from Apstra Data Center Director only if it is connected with the edge device.
Apstra Connectivity Connectivity status of Juniper Apstra Edge with Apstra Data Center Director.
Flow Server Status Indicates whether the Apstra Flow Server is configured. Click Adopt Apstra Edge and enable Flow Server Details toggle button to configure Apstra Flow Server .

Table 2 lists the fields on the Switches tab.

Description
Status Status of the device managed by Apstra Data Center Director.
Name Name of the device.

Vendor

 Manufacturer of the device.
OS Version Version of operating system installed on the device.
MAC Address MAC address assigned to the device.
MGMT IP Management IP address assigned to the device.
Model Device model; for example QFX5120-48Y.
Site Site to which the device is assigned.
Serial Number Serial number of the device.
