Apstra Edge Workflow

This document provides a high-level workflow of the Apstra Edge installation process.

Use this high-level workflow to create a Data Center Assurance (DCA) organization, install the Edge, and validate your DC fabric setup.
Note: This process is for Apstra versions 5.1 and later.
  1. Create an account with DCA.
  2. Log in to your organization.
    Access the organization you have permissions for within the DCA UI at https://dc.ai.juniper.net.
  3. Switch to the Juniper Apstra (on-prem) UI.
  4. Adopt the Edge in Apstra.
  5. Return to the DCA UI to monitor Edge registration status.
  6. Verify Edge Registration.
    See Step 13.
  7. Download and Run the DCA Setup Validation Tool.
    Run the Setup Validation Tool after installing the Edge. This tool performs a series of tests to verify that you have configured the various devices and services of your DC fabric correctly. For more information, click the link in the step.
  8. Run pre-flight checks.
    These checks verify whether certain prerequisites and configuration requirements are met and provides actionable guidance on how to resolve potential issues. Executing these checks enables you to validate the environment, identify issues that might affect the performance of DCA features, and resolve them. For more information, click the link in the step.
