Management Options

This section describes different management options for the QFX5220, QFX5230, QFX5240, and QFX5241 Switches.

You can manage QFX Series Switches using the command-line interface (CLI) and Juniper Apstra.

Junos OS Evolved CLI

The QFX5220, QFX5230, QFX5240, and QFX5241 switches support the Junos OS Evolved CLI. You can use Junos OS Evolved for the initial configuration of the switches, such as root authentication and management interface, and for advanced configurations, such as ROCEv2, ESI-LAG, and so on.

Juniper Apstra Data Center Director

For remote configuration and monitoring purposes, you can use Juniper Apstra Data Center Director, which is a data center automation and management platform. Using Apstra, you can automate the network design, deployment, and operation of data center fabrics. Apstra uses agent profiles to manage the QFX Series Switches. For more information about how to onboard data center switches, see Onboarding Data Center Switches with Apstra and Onboarding Devices into Apstra.
