This section provides information about Juniper platform device licensing and Junos OS Evolved upgrade details.
Licensing Information
When you buy any Juniper platform device, the sales team executive guides you with the licensing options available and suggests the most suitable option based on your business requirements. Once you have a license key, see Juniper Licensing User Guide for instructions to follow to activate the license key.
If the platform device encounters an issue and requires a replacement, you need not buy a new license. Instead you can use the same license key on the new platform device. All this information is available in the Juniper Licensing User Guide.
Your license will be valid for a certain number of years and later you may need to renew the license at the end of this period. For license renewal information, see ACX Series Licensing Lifecyle.
Upgrading Junos OS Evolved
By default, all the ACX7000 family of routers have in-built Junos OS Evolved software. To upgrade to the latest Junos OS Evolved release that supports your platform device, see Upgrade Junos OS Evolved.
