Description
Control the LDP timer that regulates how often
hello messages are sent. You can control the rate both link hello
messages and targeted hello messages are sent depending on the hierarchy
level at which you configure the hello-interval statement.
Options
seconds—Length
of time between transmission of hello packets.
Range: 1 through 65,535 seconds
Default: 5 seconds for link hello messages, 15 seconds for targeted hello messages
The default hello intervals on EX 9200 switches are not sufficient to avoid protocol flapping during an ISSU Linux upgrade. To avoid protocol flapping during the upgrade, configure the hello intervals for 35 seconds or more.
