Add an Endpoint Profile

Create endpoint profiles to define the endpoints for the LSP. For more information, see Network Optimization Overview and About the Endpoint Profiles.

To create an endpoint profile:

  1. Navigate to Network Optimization > Network > Network Optimization Intent.

The Topology page is displayed with the topology map at the center and the network information table at the bottom of the page.

  2. Navigate to the Endpoint Profiles tab.

  3. Click the plus icon (+).

The Create Endpoint Page page appears.

  4. Complete the configuration according to the guidelines in Table 1.

Note: Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory.
  5. Do one of the following:

    • Click Save Draft, to save the endpoint profile. Save the endpoint profile if you intend to modify it later.

    • Click Publish, to publish the endpoint profile. Publish the endpoint profile if you want to attach this endpoint profile to a path intent.

Note: You can attach the endpoint profile to a path intent only if you publish the endpoint profile. If an endpoint profile is attached to a path intent, then the endpoint profile cannot be edited or deleted.

A message indicating that the endpoint profile is created appears. You are returned to the Endpoint Profiles tab where you can view the newly added endpoint profile.

Table 1: Fields on the Create Endpoint Profile Page
Column Description
Name Specify the name of the endpoint profile. You cannot use space, comma, or semicolon.
Description Enter a description for the endpoint profile.
Add Nodes from the Map Click here to select the source and destination endpoints for the tunnels directly from the topology map.
Filter A Nodes Filter the source nodes in the network using logical operators such as AND, OR, and NOT and conditions such as =, !=, <, <=, >, >=, IN, NOT IN, INCLUDES, and NOT INCLUDES.
Filter Z Nodes Filter the destination nodes in the network using logical operators such as AND, OR, and NOT and conditions such as =, !=, <, <=, >, >=, IN, NOT IN, INCLUDES, and NOT INCLUDES.
Node A Selection Displays the list of source endpoints that you have selected.
Node Z selection Displays the list of destination endpoints that you have selected.
Connection Select the type of connection between the endpoints. The connection type can be one-to-one, one-to-all, or full mesh. The one-to-one and one-to-all can be both unidirectional or bidirectional.
