About the Tunnel Profiles Tab

To access the Tunnel Profiles tab, click Network Optimization > Network > Network Optimization Intent.

On this tab, you can create tunnel profiles, view the status (Published or Draft) and the number of intents linked to the tunnel profile.

Unlike traditional methods where each tunnel must be provisioned individually with all its attributes configured from scratch, tunnel profiles define the specific attributes of the LSPs (tunnels) or segment routing policies, which can be later used to create path intents. This modular approach reduces redundancy and streamlines the process of provisioning multiple tunnels.

For more information, see Network Optimization Overview and About the Network Optimization Intent Page.

Tasks You can Perform

  • View details of a tunnel profile—You can select and view the details of a tunnel profile. You can either click More > Detail or hover over the tunnel profile and click the Detailed View icon. The Tunnel Profile Details pane appears on the right side of the page displaying the details.

Click the Close (x) icon to close the pane.

  • Create a tunnel profile— Click + to create a tunnel profile. For more information, see Add a Tunnel Profile.

  • Edit a tunnel profile—To edit a tunnel profile, select the tunnel profile and click the pencil icon. After you edit, you can choose to save the tunnel profile as a draft or publish the tunnel profile.

Note: You cannot edit a tunnel profile if it is linked to a path intent.
  • Delete a tunnel profile—To delete a tunnel profile, select a tunnel profile and click the delete icon. A message confirms that Paragon Automation has successfully deleted the tunnel profile.

Note: You cannot delete a tunnel profile if it is linked to a path intent.
