New Features

This section describes the new features released in Juniper Mist Routing Assurance.

Support for MX480 Router

Juniper Mist Routing Assurance supports the MX480 Universal Routing Platform. You can onboard these routers to Juniper Mist Routing Assurance and monitor their performance by viewing the insights collected from them.

You onboard a router by logging into the router's CLI and committing the outbound SSH configuration that Juniper Mist Routing Assurance provides. After a router is onboarded and is assigned to a site, you can start monitoring it.

Note: Juniper Mist Routing Assurance currently supports MX480 routers with the following Gigabit Ethernet type MPCs: MPC7E 3D MRATE-12xQSFPP-XGE-XLGE-CGE, MPC10E-10C-MRATE, MPC10E-15C-MRATE and, MPC3E-3D-NG-Q.

Support for MX960 Router

You can onboard MX960 routers to Juniper Mist Routing Assurance. You can monitor the performance of these routers by viewing the insights collected from them.

Enhancement to the Bounce Port Feature

The Bounce Port feature has been enhanced to prevent accidental outages and service interruptions due to port bounce events. Juniper Mist Routing Assurance can recognize whether the selected port is the management port. An additional message warns administrators before they bounce the port.

Previously, you could bounce a management port without any warning of the risks of bouncing the port. With this enhancement, administrators must confirm the Bounce Port action of a management port.
