New Features

This section describes the new features released in Juniper Apstra Cloud Services.

WCAG 2.1 Compliant Dashboard

The dashboard in Juniper Apstra Cloud Services is compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG) from the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) to make it more accessible to a wide range of audiences, including users viewing with assistive tools.

You can use a combination of screen readers and keyboard shortcuts to navigate the dashboard.

[See Accessibility on the Dashboard.]

Enhancements to Pre-flight Checks

The pre-flight check feature has been enhanced with additional tests to verify whether the following configurations are done in Apstra:

  • Stream Receivers Creation Check—checks whether the alerts and perfmon stream receivers are present and connected in Apstra.

  • Apstra Flow Server Connection Check—checks whether the Apstra Edge device and the Apstra Flow Server are connected.

  • Time Stamp Check between Apstra Flow Server and Juniper Apstra Cloud Services—checks whether the system times on the Apstra Flow Server and Juniper Apstra Cloud Services are in sync.

  • SLE Probes—checks whether additional probes such as BGP Monitoring, EVPN Host Flapping, Optical Transceivers, and so on are enabled on Apstra.

The pre-flight checks enable you to proactively identify and address issues that might affect ACS feature functionality.

AI-assisted Issue Resolution with Marvis

Use our AI-powered conversational assistant, Marvis, to proactively resolve issues without having to create a support request.

Before you proceed to create a support ticket, start a conversation with Marvis to get instant assistance with troubleshooting and resolving issues. You can either use a prompt template to begin the conversation or enter a custom query. Marvis scans a range of documentation and generates tailored responses, suggest related questions, and provide links to relevant support resources to help you troubleshoot, configure, or understand features instantly without waiting for human assistance. You can ask follow-up questions to refine the search results and get additional clarifications.

With the help of Marvis, you can try to resolve issues, reduce the need to create support tickets, and accelerate the time to resolution. You also have the option to provide feedback on your experience with the AI-assisted issue resolution process.

To access this feature, navigate to the Help menu (?) on the top-right corner of the banner, click Support Tickets > Create a Ticket > How can I help you today?.

If your issue needs deeper investigation and require assistance from the support team, you can proceed to create a support ticket at any time.

Enhancements to Device Inventory Access and Permissions

Juniper Apstra Cloud Services provides detailed information about the devices managed by all the Apstra instances connected to ACS. Access to the inventory information depends on your user role and permissions.

A user with the Observer or Network Admin role who has access to specific sites can view device inventory by clicking DC Edges or DC Switches on the main menu.

A user with the Super User or Network Admin role who has access to all sites in the organization can view device inventory by navigating to:

  • Organization > Inventory on the main menu

  • DC Edges or DC Switches on the main menu

A superuser or network administrator who has access to all sites can also perform the following actions from the DC Edges page:

  • adopt an Apstra Edge device

  • register an Edge device

  • run pre-flight checks on the Edge device or its blueprints
