Juniper Support Insights Overview
Juniper Support Insights (JSI) is a cloud-based support solution that provides you with operational insights into Juniper's cloud-connected devices deployed in your networks. JSI integrates into Juniper's common cloud services to offer support automation services such as operational health, and inventory and support lifecycle management. It transforms your customer support experience by providing insights that enables Juniper to help you improve your network performance and uptime.
JSI enables you to:
-
Identify issues before they become a problem.
-
Reduce the risk of problems through insights derived from accurate software and hardware inventory.
-
Improve customer experience through data and analytics.
Once you onboard the Junos OS-based devices in your network to JSI, JSI can correlate Juniper's internal data sources with the data from your devices (using NETCONF over SSH), and curate the data into actionable insights. This includes service contracts, license status, hardware End of Life (EOL) and End of Support (EOS) states, and so on. JSI also helps you streamline operational planning, such as upgrades, through relevant status of the deployed Juniper products.
JSI is currently available in two modes:
-
Standalone web application; Juniper Support Insights
-
Embedded feature within:
See Supported Devices for a list of Juniper devices that are currently supported by JSI.
Dashboards
You can access reports and data insights on your devices through interactive user-friendly dashboards on a secure web application. JSI manages access to customer-centric information in the reports by validating the user's identity through the Juniper Support Portal (JSP). Once validated, the user is granted access to customer-centric information the user is entitled to access.
JSI displays the following information within the dashboards on the Installed Base page:
-
Assets and contracts reports—Generates reports on the operational health and contract status of the devices.
-
Hardware and Software EOL and EOS information—Displays information on the products' End of Life (EOL) and End of Support (EOS) status.
-
Bug (PBN) analysis dashboards—Displays information on the issues that affect the devices linked to your Juniper Networks account.
-
Security vulnerability dashboards—Displays information on the security vulnerabilities advisories published by the Juniper Security Incident Response (SIRT) team for the devices linked to your Juniper Networks account.
-
Software upgrade recommender—Recommends Junos OS version for the devices.
These features help simplify lifecycle management of your Juniper inventory by providing an efficient way to track and manage the health and exposure of your devices. Acccurately tracking the inventory significantly reduces the risk of issues and problems in the network and in turn reduces the effort and time spent in troublshooting issues.
You can also configure, troubleshoot, and test your devices remotely from within JSI. See Device Utilities.
