Connect the QFX5250 Switch to Power

Connecting power to the QFX5250 switch involves the following steps and safety precautions to prevent equipment damage and personal injury.

Connect the ORv3 Compliant QFX5250 Switch to Power

The powering-on information provided in this section is valid for the following models of QFX5250:

  • QFX5250-64OE-L—There are no additional steps to connect a liquid-cooled QFX5250 switch to power. When you install the QFX5250 switch on the ORv3 rack, the IT Gear Input Connector on the switch slots into the corresponding busbar on the ORv3 rack. The switch installed on the ORv3 rack draws power from the busbar. When the switch is correctly installed, it powers on automatically. Sliding the switch out of the ORv3 rack disconnects the power supply.
