Unpack the PTX12008

Unpack the PTX12008 by following the recommended procedure and check that you have received all the components.

Unpack the PTX12008

We ship the PTX12008 in a cardboard carton, secured with foam packing material.

CAUTION:

The PTX12008 has maximum protection inside the shipping carton. Do not unpack the router until you are ready to mount it.

To unpack the router and prepare for installation, you need the following tools:

  • A Phillips (+) screwdriver, number 2—not provided

  • A box cutter or packing knife to slice open the tape that seals the boxes—not provided

To unpack the router:

  1. Move the shipping carton to a staging area as close to the installation site as possible, but where you have enough room to remove the router and its components.

  2. Position the carton so that the arrows marked on the carton are pointing up.

  3. Open the top flaps on the shipping carton.

  4. Pull out the packing material holding the router in place.

  5. Verify the parts received against the packing list. See Packing List for the PTX12008.

  6. Save the shipping carton and packing materials in case you need to move or ship the router later.

Packing List for the PTX12008

The shipment includes a packing list. Check the parts you receive in the shipping carton against the items on the packing list. We ship the parts according to the configuration that you order. See PTX12008 Configurations.
