Management Port Connector Pinout Information for ACX7020 Routers

The management port—labeled MGMT—on an ACX7020 uses an RJ-45 connector to connect to a management device for out-of-band management.

The port uses an autosensing RJ-45 connector to support a 10/100/1000BASE-T connection.

Table 2 provides the pinout information for the RJ-45 connector for the management port.

Console Port Connector Pinout on ACX7020 Routers

The port labeled CON on the front panel is an RS-232 serial interface that uses an RJ-45 connector to connect to a console management device. The default baud rate for the console port is 9600 baud.

Use a cable with the pinouts described in Table 3 to connect an ACX7020 to a console management device.

Note:

If your laptop or PC does not have a DB-9 plug connector pin and you want to connect your laptop or PC directly to an ACX7020, use a combination of the RJ-45 cable and RJ-45 to DB-9 adapter and a USB to DB-9 plug adapter.
