Cooling System and Airflow in ACX7020 Routers

Learn about the cooling system components in ACX7020 routers.

The cooling system in an ACX7020 router supports side-to-side cooling and consists of the following components:

  • Three single rotor fixed fans

  • One removable air filter

Three system fans

 

The system fans in an ACX7020 router are fixed and cannot be replaced at your site. You must return the router to Juniper Networks for repair or replacement of the fans.

The air filter installs on the right side of the chassis. For information about maintaining the air filter, see Maintain ACX7020 Air Filter. The router draws air in through the right side of the chassis, where the air filter is installed, and directs it toward the system fans, which then exhaust the air out of the router.
