Juniper Networks Session and Resource Control Portfolio is a carrier grade policy and control solution that integrates third party platforms and applications to enable the end-to-end delivery of high value differentiated services across multi-vendor network infrastructures, and to provide a non-disruptive migration to next generation Cable, 3GPP IMS and ETSI TISPAN network architectures.
The Session and Resource Control portfolio consists of advanced hardware and sophisticated software that extend Juniper's experience in providing highly intelligent reliable and scalable IP network layer solutions to the policy and control layer. The portfolio includes the widely deployed SDX-300 Service Deployment System and the Steel-Belted Radius Service Provider Edition platform, as well as the SRC Module family and high performance C-series Controllers.
The Session and Resource Control portfolio utilizes widely adopted standards-based open interfaces to maximize interoperability with the broadest range of network elements, applications, and OSS/BSS platforms.
The portfolio is fully integrated with Juniper Networks routing platforms and security solutions, and integrates with third party devices via a simple scripting services. The Session and Resource Control portfolio also utilizes the Packet Cable Multimedia interface to integrate with PCMM-compliant cable modem termination system (CMTS) devices used in cable networks.
The portfolio also provides a powerful Meta-Directory capability for rapid integration with external repositories and related systems that support billing, customer care, order entry, provisioning, billing and security.
The Session and Resource Control portfolio includes standards-based interfaces such as SOAP and DIAMTER that allow easy integration with partner applications. These interfaces enable the portfolio to use application requirements for policy definitions, and to modify network resources to ensure the applications are delivered with the appropriate level of QoS.
In combination, the products and solutions of the Session and Resource Control portfolio provide Juniper customers with a broad set of open, agile and customizable policy and control options to address their diverse, and unique, business and technical requirements.
