0:06 if you really think about it

0:08 it's because mist is a platform

0:12 a cloud native

0:14 ai driven session smart platform

0:18 which

0:19 by the click of the button

0:21 enables a customer

0:23 to leverage the same platform

0:25 from premium connectivity

0:27 to location-based services

0:30 to enable

0:31 their digital transformation initiative

0:34 this is the power

0:36 of the missed cloud native ai driven

0:39 session smart platform

0:40 for those who don't miss know mrs

0:42 actually started with the vision of

0:44 building a solution that could answer

0:45 questions and manage networks on par

0:48 with it domain next

0:49 what most people don't know was our

0:51 actually our first aiml pad was really

0:53 around indoor location and our virtual

0:55 bele technology where we use

0:57 unsupervised machine learning models to

0:59 learn the path loss model for each

1:02 environment each building for every

1:04 individual user and this is basically

1:06 learning that rssi versus distance it

1:08 had to be done manually in the past

1:10 fingerprinting where people had to walk

1:11 around the building so this is an

1:13 example where ami aiml was actually able

1:15 to automate what was a very friction

1:17 point for the indoor location users

1:20 and when you look what we're doing this

1:22 inside of our ai journey indoor location

1:24 is now becoming a big part of both our

1:25 line of business customers you know for

1:27 the wayfinding and asset tracking users

1:29 but it's also becoming a big part of our

1:31 i.t customers where we're actually

1:33 integrating this technology into zebra

1:34 devices helping our it customers able to

1:36 find devices that they're keeping track

1:38 of things so indoor location has been a

1:41 big part of the missed journey since we

1:42 started it's a big part of my personal

1:44 career journey and really i'm on then

1:47 high yes we're on the mission to make

1:48 interlocation a must have in the

1:50 industry

1:51 over the last 20 years we've seen wi-fi

1:53 go from a nice to have a must-have to

1:56 lately a business critical requirement

1:58 in enterprise customer space we're

2:00 seeing a similar journey for indoor

2:01 location now if we look at the friction

2:03 points for indoor location

2:05 similar to wi-fi we're in the phase

2:07 where we need more interoperable

2:10 more standard-based wireless

2:11 technologies render location and greater

2:14 mobile devices and this is working

2:16 villagerly with our partners our

2:18 whiteband partners our 950 halo partners

2:21 to really bring more of these

2:22 technologies and location technologies

2:24 into our mobile

2:25 second friction point with indoor

2:26 location has been compelling apps now

2:28 over the last 10 20 years we're starting

2:30 to see compelling apps across all

2:31 verticals whether it's healthcare retail

2:34 financial hospitality there is an app

2:36 for every vertical we're in right now

2:38 and they're becoming more compelling on

2:40 which indoor location is being hung

2:42 third key point here is really around

2:43 complicated deployments and this or miss

2:46 has actually added a lot of value with

2:48 our ml enterprise ml models really

2:50 eliminating a need for manual rf

2:52 fingerprinting this is basically getting

2:54 that path loss model for every building

2:56 and for every user down and then finally

2:58 overlay networks up to now we've asked

3:00 our customers to basically put overlay

3:02 networks in for their indoor location

3:03 issues at miss we have converged both

3:06 connectivity and interlocation into one

3:08 solution and limiting the need for our

3:09 customers within those overlay networks

3:12 so from this interlocation has been a

3:14 key part of our strategy since we

3:15 started the company

3:16 that's a key part offering for both our

3:18 line of business customers and for our

3:20 ip customers

3:22 bob thank you so much for that for

3:24 explaining exactly how we're going to

3:25 transform the location market into a

3:27 billion dollar market with our standards

3:29 based micro services architecture

3:31 location platform

3:32 based on apis and more importantly based

3:34 on the wi-fi and bluetooth energy

3:36 technology that is so pervasive nowadays

3:39 so what is this indoor location services

3:41 platform all about what are we

3:42 delivering

3:43 we are truly delivering accurate rtls

3:48 based on wi-fi and bluetooth low energy

3:51 standard-based technology in a flexible

3:54 scalable and resilient manner gone are

3:56 the days where you deploy appliances

3:58 on-prem gone are the days where you're

4:00 worried about oh if i bring on a

4:03 thousand iot devices or a thousand new

4:05 assets to be tracked do i have to worry

4:07 about my backend scale the microservices

4:09 architecture that the entire miscloud

4:11 platform is based on mitigates any

4:14 concerns around scalability around

4:16 serviceability again another key aspect

4:18 of location services everything we do

4:21 leveraging machine learning makes a

4:23 system extremely serviceable as well

4:25 which we know is key especially in

4:27 mission critical location applications

4:28 in healthcare in warehousing and also

4:32 very recently in the enterprise space

4:34 so what makes this location platform

4:35 come to life it is a combination of

4:38 wi-fi and bluetooth energy location

4:40 services on the wi-fi front we do

4:43 location for connected and unconnected

4:45 devices for various use cases and on the

4:47 bluetooth low energy front we meet

4:49 multiple use cases there as well we are

4:51 delivering user engagement with the

4:54 mobile sdk from mist integrating into

4:56 mobile apps to deliver indoor way

4:58 finding we are delivering virtual beacon

5:00 technology again a patented technology

5:02 from mist that enables indoor push

5:04 notifications something no other vendor

5:06 to date is capable of doing they still

5:08 rely on battery beacons and more

5:10 importantly leveraging the bluetooth

5:12 technology the same iot as a hub our

5:14 wi-fi ble access point we're able to

5:17 deliver asset visibility services that

5:18 are now showing up in terms of occupancy

5:21 analytics in terms of proxy tracing as

5:24 well as just store operations in retail

5:26 and today it's a flexible platform

5:28 highly scalable high resilient location

5:31 which can be enabled and leveraged for

5:33 multiple use cases so with those

5:35 location services powered by wi-fi and

5:38 bluetooth what does it mean for various

5:41 customers in various verticals what

5:42 outcomes can they achieve with location

5:44 services and this is where the big

5:46 business benefit comes in where it

5:49 impacts your top line as well as your

5:51 bottom line a lot of customers are

5:53 looking at digital transformation with

5:54 end-to-end visibility in the enterprise

5:56 vertical to attract talent they're

5:59 looking at digital transformation in

6:01 retail for better store operations as

6:03 well as in health care for better

6:05 patient experiences and that leads to

6:07 the next outcome around improving

6:09 experiences and therefore top-line

6:10 revenue because now with location

6:12 services powering up your mobile lab

6:14 that interacts with patients that

6:15 interacts with employees that interacts

6:17 with students whether it's education

6:19 enterprise healthcare or even in retail

6:22 with the recent phenomena of curbside

6:24 pickup knowing when a shopper came

6:26 outside your store being able to come in

6:28 and actually have their order ready for

6:29 them when they need it is huge in terms

6:31 of customer satisfaction and if you have

6:32 customer satisfaction you have customer

6:34 loyalty and with customer loyalty direct

6:37 impact to your top line revenue and last

6:40 but by no means the least the

6:42 operational workflows with the pandemic

6:44 that hit us all last year a lot of our

6:47 customers in fact juniper ourselves were

6:49 struggling initially with how do we even

6:51 operate in this new environment what is

6:53 the new norm even there location based

6:56 on standards based approach of wi-fi and

6:58 bluetooth came to the rescue because now

7:01 you can leverage the same location

7:02 services for

7:04 delivering visibility on occupancy on

7:07 congestion on proximity tracing when

7:10 somebody reports themselves as tested

7:11 code positive you know exactly where all

7:13 they have been and more importantly who

7:15 they have come in proximity of and then

7:17 in retail and healthcare and other

7:18 public venues the whole concept of

7:20 engagement analytics all of those

7:22 traffic flow analysis where people came

7:24 in where they go next where they spend

7:25 more time is answered by leveraging the

7:28 real-time location services feeding into

7:30 our analytics platform and making apis

7:32 available for integration into

7:34 third-party bi tools so it all begins

7:36 with the visibility based on location

7:39 leveraging standard based platform to

7:41 deliver top line impact as well as

7:43 bottom line
