The role of bare-metal computing has become more relevant for high-performance, scale-out, or container-driven workloads, but existing platforms aren’t automated enough for developers. With bare-metal servers, businesses can choose their preferred hypervisors, run natively on bare metal, or leverage container systems.

Technology Solution

Packet chose MX960 3D Universal Edge Routers for the data center core. Packet uses low-latency, high-performance QFX5100 Switches and EX4300 Ethernet Switches for 10GbE and 1GbE top-of-rack switching, respectively. Juniper’s Virtual Chassis technology ensures high availability.
