Juniper Networks to Highlight Disruptive Innovations at Carrier Ethernet APAC 2011

In Keynote Address, Juniper Networks Vice President Luc Ceuppens to Discuss Integration of Carrier Ethernet for Residential, Business and Mobile Sectors

SINGAPORE, Nov. 29, 2011 - Juniper Networks (NYSE: JNPR), the industry leader in network innovation, today announced that it will highlight new networking technologies and disruptive innovations during the Carrier Ethernet APAC 2011, taking place in Singapore, from Nov. 30 to Dec. 2.

On Wednesday, Nov. 30, Juniper will host a workshop on architecting the network to create new business opportunities for service providers. The workshop will feature presentations from Juniper executives on:

  • Optimizing Economics and Experience at the Edge Network;
  • Foundations for Next Generation Mobile Backhaul Networks;
  • Disruptive Innovation at the Carrier Network; and
  • Ensuring Reliability and Survivability for Mobile Backhaul and Enterprise Services.

At booths #1 and 2, Juniper Networks will showcase a “service provider in a rack,” including next-generation switching and routing platforms powered by the Junos® operating system. The demonstration will feature:

  • Juniper Networks® T4000 Core Router with IP/MPLS capable standards-based 100 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, essential for supporting video, advanced wireless and cloud computing services;
  • Juniper Networks MX 3D Universal Edge Routers, supporting a demonstration of a bandwidth calendaring application using the OpenFlow protocol.

Juniper Networks Executive Keynote:

On Thursday, December 1, Luc Ceuppens, Juniper Networks vice president of product marketing for the Platform Systems Division, will give a keynote on integrating Carrier Ethernet with the network edge, covering models for residential, business and mobile sectors. Ceuppens will also participate in the keynote panel on ‘Leveraging the Benefits of Carrier Ethernet for Service Providers’, which looks at next-generation services, the opportunities of Carrier Ethernet in the business market, and infrastructure optimization for a more competitive ROI.

Carrier Ethernet APAC 2011 will take place at Resort World Sentosa, Singapore. Throughout its history the event has showcased a unique technology and networking forum incorporating the entire Ethernet ecosystem under one roof. With over 250 attendees in 2010 the event has become the largest meeting place and technology forum for the Ethernet transport and services industry in APAC.
