SUNNYVALE, Calif. - Feb. 28, 2011 - Juniper Networks (NYSE: JNPR) today announced the pricing of $300 million aggregate principal amount of its 3.100% Senior Notes due 2016 (the "2016 senior notes"), $300 million aggregate principal amount of its 4.600% Senior Notes due 2021 (the "2021 senior notes") and $400 million aggregate principal amount of its 5.950% Senior Notes due 2041 (the "2041 senior notes") under a shelf registration statement on file with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The offering is expected to close on March 3, 2011, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions.
The 2016 senior notes will mature on March 15, 2016 and bear interest at an annual rate of 3.100%. The 2021 senior notes will mature on March 15, 2021 and bear interest at an annual rate of 4.600%. The 2041 senior notes will mature on March 15, 2041 and bear interest at an annual rate of 5.950%.
Standard & Poor's has assigned a "BBB" corporate credit rating to Juniper and the proposed offering of senior notes with a stable outlook. Moody's Investors Service has assigned a "Baa2" rating to Juniper and the proposed offering of senior notes with a stable outlook.
Juniper intends to use the net proceeds from this offering for general corporate purposes, which may include working capital, capital expenditures, other corporate expenses, share repurchases and acquisitions of products, technologies or businesses.
