Juniper Networks Achieves Success at B2B Marketing Awards 2009

Email Campaign in EMEA Increased Website Responses by Estimated 20 Percent

LONDON, December 16, 2009 - Juniper Networks® (NYSE: JNPR) today announced it has won the 2009 B2B Marketing Award for Best Use of Email with its Junos® Software campaign. The campaign ran from September 2008 to October 2009 and was targeted specifically at technical users wanting to learn more about Junos, Juniper's single network operating system. Via a new web portal, J-Central, network engineers were educated on Junos through a series of Q&A briefings, presentations and demonstrations in a newly-created virtual laboratory.

Juniper, with the help of its B2B marketing agency, Base One grew website response rates from 0.5 percent to an average of 20 percent as a result of an integrated campaign that included email and social media tools such as Twitter and Facebook. The new portal and online training resources now have over 10,000 active participants. B2B's judges highlighted the campaign's creativity and excellence in using email as an effective communication vehicle.

The awards scheme showcased the best business-to-business marketing activity of the past year from all industry fields. At the ceremony in London on 25th November, Juniper was also shortlisted for two other categories: B2B Marketer of the Year and Best Customer Relationship Initiative, for which the company received a "Highly Commended" mention.
