Juniper Networks Web 2.0 And Nyse Euronext Data Center Initiatives Receive 2009 Infoworld 100 Awards

SUNNYVALE, Calif., December 15, 2009 - Juniper Networks® (NYSE: JNPR) today announced it was honored this year with two of IDG's InfoWorld 100 Awards. Juniper's Web 2.0 initiative and its datacenter initiative for NYSE Euronext were selected among the top real-world projects in 2009 that demonstrated the value of IT in modernizing business.

Companies around the world rely on technology to enable and enhance their business operations and deliver on their business strategies. Each year, the InfoWorld 100 Awards recognize the top IT projects that use technology in smart, innovative, creative ways in pursuit of concrete business objectives. Juniper's winning IT projects were:

  • Juniper.net 2.0 Initiative: Juniper reinvented and successfully launched a new website presence that markedly improved the ease of doing business and created a better user experience for partners and customers. The scope involved development of a highly flexible website with consistent brand and integrated social and rich media deployed over 10 countries and across 8 languages.
  • NYSE Euronext Data Center Initiative: Juniper is helping NYSE Euronext, the world's most diverse exchange group, design a state-of-the-art, ultra-low latency core network for NYSE Euronext's new consolidated global data centers in the U.S. and U.K. Utilizing Juniper's high-performance switching and routing technologies and advanced data center fabric technology, the new trading platform will support several billion daily transactions and quotes across diverse asset classes and geographies, with an unprecedented internal latency of 50 microseconds roundtrip.

"This year's recipients of InfoWorld's highest honor are shining examples of IT projects undertaken by tech leaders committed to pushing their organizations forward," said Jason Snyder, features editor at InfoWorld.
