Juniper Networks High-Performance Network Infrastructure Helps Accelerate Worldwide Operations for Denso Corporation

Japanese Automotive Components Manufacturer Improves Performance, Reduces Operational Costs of Global IP Network with WX TM Application Acceleration Platforms

SUNNYVALE, Calif., November 13, 2007 - Juniper Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: JNPR), the leader in high-performance networking, today announced that international automotive components manufacturer Denso Corporation is accelerating the performance of its global operations through its deployment of Juniper Networks WX TM application acceleration platforms. By improving the efficiency and scalability of Denso's global IP virtual private network, Juniper's WX application acceleration solution helps to provide seamless access to information and uninhibited communications amongst more than 112,000 employees, 188 subsidiaries and 32 affiliates located in 32 countries.

"We have gained crucial competitive business advantages through the deployment of Juniper's WX platforms," said Kimihide Kobayashi, IT Manager, Denso Corporation. "Our legacy network topology was inefficient and expensive, involving multiple data stores and network bottlenecks. The Juniper solution enabled us to consolidate our data centers, reduce traffic latency, increase application responsiveness, and lower ongoing administrative costs. Our email is now 30 percent faster, FTP file transfers 60 percent faster, and we have achieved a 1.8 times improvement in network efficiency."

Juniper's WX application acceleration platforms are highly scalable WAN acceleration solutions that improve application performance over the WAN by recognizing and eliminating redundant transmissions; accelerating TCP and application-specific protocols; prioritizing and allocating access to bandwidth; and ensuring high application availability at sites with multiple WAN links. The WX application acceleration platforms work end-to-end with a multitude of applications, including Web-based, client-server, custom software, voice and video. The platforms also include a broad set of management tools for monitoring and reporting on WAN and application performance.

"High-performance businesses such as Denso must be able to achieve the competitive advantages that result from having a broad and distributed international presence without being burdened by inefficiencies in their network infrastructure," said Masanori Osuga, vice president of Japan for Juniper Networks. "Our WX application acceleration solutions not only help reduce bandwidth costs but empower organizations with more responsive collaboration tools to better cope with highly competitive business environments."
