Juniper Networks Demonstrates Continued Leadership in MPLS at MPLScon

MEDIA ADVISORY - New York, May 18, 2006 - At MPLScon 2006, Juniper Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: JNPR) will demonstrate its continued leadership in MPLS-based solutions for service providers and enterprises. Juniper Networks routing platforms deliver industry-leading MPLS capabilities, enabling service providers and enterprises to meet new demands for network consolidation, control and resiliency and to support an expanding set of applications and services including video distribution, voice, and data.

Juniper will have three speakers covering both the Service Provider and Enterprise tracks during the conference. On Monday, May 22, 8am-12pm, Bruno Rijsman, a distinguished engineer with Juniper Networks, will lead a tutorial on MPLS VPNs. The tutorial will review a broad portfolio of differentiated, reliable MPLS VPN services backed by SLAs that satisfy diverse customer needs with an in-depth view of MPLS Layer 2 VPNs and MPLS Layer 3 (RFC2547bis) VPNs.

Also on Wednesday, Ron Bonica, network engineer, and an MPLScon Advisory Board Member, will present Multicast in a Layer 3 VPN Environment from 3:00-3:30pm. Ron will describe various approaches for multicasts in a Layer 3 VPN environment focusing on various methods through which a service provider can overlay the customer multicast routing domains over its own multicast routing environment while minimizing interaction between the two.

On Thursday, May 25, in the Enterprise track, Troy Herrera, Senior Field Solutions Manger, will present from 1:30-2:00 pm on MPLS in the Enterprise: Enabling Application Specific QoS on a Converged Network. This session will focus on the ability of MPLS to improve security, enhance QoS, and add application intelligence within an enterprise private network.
