Juniper Networks Names Frank Vitagliano Vice President Worldwide Channels
SUNNYVALE,Calif., March 8, 2006 - Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: JNPR) today announced the appointment of Frank J. Vitagliano to the position of vice president, worldwide channels. An accomplished channel executive with 33 years experience, Vitagliano joins Juniper from IBM Corporation where he holds the position of vice president, Worldwide Distribution Channels. Vitagliano will replace Tushar Kothari who is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities

Vitagliano has had a long and distinguished career at IBM Corporation. Most recently, as vice president, Worldwide Distribution Channels, IBM Global Business Partners, he was responsible for the development and implementation of the company's worldwide distribution strategy for IBM's Server and Storage Business. Prior to that he held the position of vice president, Distribution Channel Management, IBM Personal Computer Company, with responsibility for the worldwide go-to-market strategy for the organization's $10 billion Personal Systems Business. As vice president, Worldwide Fulfillment Operations, IBM Personal Computer Company, a position he held from 1998 until 2000, Vitagliano led the re-design and development of the indirect channel strategy for this $5 billion business. Prior to that, he held a number of leadership positions in sales, marketing and channels at IBM.
