Juniper Networks Protects Customers from All New Microsoft Vulnerabilities Disclosed Today

SUNNYVALE,Calif., Feb. 14, 2006 - Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: JNPR) today confirmed its Intrusion Detection and Protection (IDP) security systems and ISG firewall/virtual private network (VPN) systems with IDP are able to protect customers against all of the new Microsoft vulnerabilities announced today.

Juniper Networks' IDP systems running operating code versions 3.0r4 and above, and the ISG firewall/VPN systems with IDP provide coverage for the following vulnerabilities disclosed today:

  • MS06-004 - Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer
  • MS06-005 - Vulnerability in Windows Media Player Could Allow Remote Code Execution
  • MS06-006 - Vulnerability in Windows Media Player Plug-in Could Allow Remote Code Execution
  • MS06-007 - Vulnerability in TCP/IP Could Allow Denial of Service
  • MS06-008 - Vulnerability in Web Client Service Could Allow Remote Code Execution
  • MS06-009 - Vulnerability in the Korean Input Method Editor Could Allow Elevation of Privilege
  • MS06-010 - Vulnerability in PowerPoint 2000 Could Allow Information Disclosure
