Juniper Networks Protects Customers Against All Critical Microsoft Windows Vulnerabilities Disclosed Today

Juniper Networks IDP Systems Protect Against All Network-Based Attacks

SUNNYVALE, Calif., June 14, 2005 - Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: JNPR) announced its Intrusion Detection and Protection (IDP) security systems and recently announced ISG 2000 firewall and virtual private network (VPN) system with IDP are able to protect against all the critical Microsoft vulnerabilities announced today. Furthermore, Juniper Networks' security products are able to provide zero-day coverage for critical vulnerabilities listed as MS05-025 and MS05-026. Juniper Networks' security products are able to provide same-day coverage for all the important and moderate vulnerabilities announced today that result in network-based attacks.

Juniper Networks' IDP Systems, running operating code versions 3.0r4 and above, and ISG 2000 firewall/VPN system with IDP are able to provide coverage for the vulnerabilities listed below:

  • MS05-026 - Vulnerability in HTML Help Could Allow Remote Code Execution
  • MS05-027 - Vulnerability in Server Message Block Could Allow Remote Code Execution
  • MS05-029 - Vulnerability in Exchange Server 5.5 Outlook Web Access Could Allow Cross-Site Scripting Attacks
  • MS05-030 - Vulnerability in Outlook Express Could Allow Remote Code Execution
  • MS05-031 - Vulnerability in Step-by-Step Interactive Training Could Allow Remote Code Execution
  • MS05-032 - Vulnerability in Microsoft Agent Could Allow Spoofing
  • MS05-033 - Vulnerability in Telnet Client Could Allow Information Disclosure
