Juniper Networks Appoints New Vice President Cable Products Business

Cable Veteran Andrew J. Audet to Lead Juniper's Commitment to Provide Best-in-Class IP Networking and Security Products to MSOs

SUNNYVALE, Calif., April 4, 2005 - Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: JNPR) today announced the appointment of Andrew J. Audet to the position of vice president, Cable Products Business. In this newly created position, Audet will be responsible for the worldwide operation of Juniper's business with cable multiple system operators (MSOs) reporting to Carol Mills, executive vice president and general manager, Infrastructure Products Group.

Audet brings over 20 years of industry experience to Juniper Networks and a solid track record of building strong teams and achieving excellent operational results. Starting on April 18th Audet will augment Juniper's position as a leader in the cable industry for transporting video, data, and voice services over next-generation IP networks. He will lead the product requirements process working closely with the cable community and refine Juniper's business systems to best support customer requirements.

Most recently Audet was CEO of Lemur Networks, an OSS provider focused on Voice over IP (VoIP) in the cable industry. Other executive experience in cable includes the position of president and CEO at Chinook Communications and general manager of Motorola's Cable Data Products Division. In his role at Motorola he worked closely with leading MSOs to build the cable modem market. Audet also held senior positions at General Instrument, Palladian Software, and Procter and Gamble. Audet holds an MBA from The Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College and a BSME from Union College.
