Hathaway Dinwiddie Construction Successfully Deploys Juniper Networks Network Security Appliances

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Jan. 31, 2005 - Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: JNPR) today announced that Hathaway Dinwiddie, a California based construction company, is successfully using Juniper Networks network security appliances at its headquarters, division offices and construction job sites.

"We have three static office locations as well as an average of 30 ongoing construction sites. Our job sites locations are constantly changing based on the start of construction and completion. These job sites demand that we have a network security solution that is easy to use and quick to deploy," said Jason Warmby, IT Manager at Hathaway Dinwiddie Construction. "Our selection of Juniper Networks firewalls and IPSec VPN products has allowed us to centralize the management of all locations while ensuring secure network access. The Juniper Networks products have been well worth the investment."

A Juniper Networks NetScreen-204, which offers up to 400 Mbps of firewall performance and up to 200 3DES IPSec VPN performance with support for up to 128,000 sessions, is located at Hathaway Dinwiddie's corporate headquarters in San Francisco, CA. The NetScreen-204 is allowing the company to run a separate network of Web and Email servers off the device at the same time offering firewall and VPN protection for a network of desktop users.

Located at an Application Service Providers facility in Seattle, WA is a Juniper Networks NetScreen-50. The NetScreen-50 appliance offers up to 170 Mbps of firewall and up to 50 Mbps of 3DES IPSec VPN performance for Hathaway.

A Juniper Networks NetScreen-25 is located at Hathaway Dinwiddie's Santa Clara and Los Angeles offices and is allowing users to access printers, corporate documents and email. A third NetScreen-25 Baseline is located at a Denver, CO office and is serving as a disaster recovery backup. The Juniper Networks NetScreen-25 appliance offers four 10/100 Ethernet ports and up to 100 Mbps of firewall throughput and supports 2 concurrent tunnels with up to 20 Mbps of 3DES IPSec throughput.

Juniper Networks NetScreen-5GTs are located at all Hathaway Dinwiddie construction sites and offer firewall and route based IPSec VPN access for users to corporate headquarters, division offices, other job sites, and the Seattle based ASP. The NetScreen-5GT offers up to 75 Mbps of firewall performance and up to 20 Mbps of 3DES IPSec VPN performance. With embedded antivirus and Deep Inspection firewall protection against the entry of viruses, worms and other network- and application-level attacks, the NetScreen-5GT effectively secures Hathaway Dinwiddie's construction sites and branch offices.
