Juniper Networks IDP Systems Protect Against New Critical Microsoft Windows Vulnerabilities Disclosed Today
SUNNYVALE, Calif., January 11, 2005 - Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: JNPR) announced protection for the critical vulnerabilities announced by Microsoft Corporation today. The Juniper Networks intrusion detection and prevention (IDP) systems can protect against the MS05-001 and MS05-002 vulnerabilities related to HTML Help and Cursor and Icon Format Handling, respectively, which have been assigned a "critical" severity rating by Microsoft.
The Juniper Networks IDP systems, running the 3.0 and above versions of its IDP operating code, can detect and prevent the Microsoft vulnerabilities which allow the attacker to gain control of affected systems.
