Juniper Networks Unveils J-Partner Program

Enables Partners to Transform Customers' Business Critical Networks

SUNNYVALE, Calif., July 12, 2004 - Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: JNPR) today announced the J-Partner Program. The J-Partner Program is designed to enable and reward partners for the value they add in helping customers address business critical networking and security challenges. The new J-Partner Program delivers product solutions, financial incentives and program offerings that are designed to make it easier for channel partners to drive demand and capture new business opportunities.

"While providing unique incentive opportunities, the program also ensures that partners have access to appropriate resources to help them address customers' toughest networking and security challenges."

The J-Partner Program delivers a variety of programs to develop and support partners' sales, technical, marketing, operations and management efforts and is targeted at channel partners and alliances - technical and solutions providers that deliver next generation IP services tailored to specific markets and application requirements. The J-Partner Program offers many options for partners to add post-sales value specific to their business model and support infrastructure with the re-designed support programs. The new Juniper Networks Authorized Service Center (JNASC) program recognizes partners across a broad spectrum of post-sales competency levels including Support Reseller, Support Manager and Support Provider.

Additionally, Juniper's new partner profitability architecture - J-Rewards - ensures that partners yield maximum financial value at all touch points of the relationship, including business principals, sales teams and technical teams. J-Rewards enables Juniper Networks to acknowledge and reward channel partners based on where they excel in the sales cycle with new individual and business incentives.

The J-Partner Program also offers a broad range of partner education opportunities optimized for individual job functions. Specific training, authorization and certification options are being designed for sales team members, as well as pre- and post-sales technical staff.
