NetScreen SSL VPN General Manager and Government, Healthcare and Education Customers to Present at RSA Conference 2004

NetScreen to Demonstrate Next-Generation SSL VPN with Secure Access Management Enforcement Capabilities in RSA Security’s Partner Pavilion

Sunnyvale, CA - February 18, 2004 - NetScreen Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: NSCN) today announced that Krishna “Kittu” Kolluri, general manager of NetScreen’s secure access products, will be a featured guest speaker at the RSA® Conference 2004, to be held in San Francisco from Feb. 23 to 27.

Distinguished speakers for the week-long event, one of the most prestigious information security expositions of the year, also include representatives from NetScreen SSL VPN customers Catholic Health System, Johnson County and Somerset Area School District. The speakers will address the latest developments and deployments of secure access in the following presentations:

  • Feb. 24 at 10:15 a.m. PST (Session: GOV-103): Aaron Goff, security manager for IT Services, State of Kansas, Johnson County, will present “New Government Solutions for Remote Access”;
  • Feb. 25 at 11:15 a.m. PST (Session: ASEC-204): Douglas Torre, director of networking and technical services, Catholic Health System, will present “Easy, Fast, Secure Remote Access with Regulatory Compliance”;
  • Feb. 26 at 11:15 a.m. PST (Session: IMP-304): Julio Velasquez, director of information technology, Somerset Area School District, will present “Implementing a Decade’s Worth of Technology Update in a Quarter”;
  • Feb. 27 at 10:00 a.m. PST (Session: NEW-403): Krishna ‘Kittu’ Kolluri, general manager, NetScreen’s secure access products, will present “Application Security Gateways for Access and Collaboration”; and
  • Feb. 27 at 10:00 a.m. PST (Session: IMP-403): Aaron Goff, information technology services security manager for Johnson County, will present “An Implementation of County-Wide Security and Access”.

In addition to the speaking engagements, NetScreen will demonstrate its next-generation release of its Secure Access product family, built upon the new Neoteris? Instant Virtual Extranet 4.0 platform, in the RSA Security Partner Pavilion (Booth No. 719). The demonstration will showcase how enterprises can leverage a robust SSL-based VPN solution for extranet, intranet and secure remote access deployments to serve large and diverse end-user populations, such as corporate employees or partners and customers. Highlights of the demonstration will include the NetScreen Secure Access appliances’ new enterprise-class access management enforcement functionality, including dynamic access privilege management, rich user self-service, granular role-based delegation, and centralized management capabilities.
