Network Intelligence Joins NetScreen Global Security Alliance

SUNNYVALE, CA and Walpole, Mass. - November 25, 2003 - Network Intelligence™ Corp., a leader in appliance-based security event management, and NetScreen Technologies, Inc., (Nasdaq: NSCN) today announced that Network Intelligence has joined the NetScreen Global Security Alliance and that its Network Intelligence Engine™ appliance has been verified as interoperable with NetScreen’s industry-leading network security solutions.

Members of the NetScreen Global Security Alliance provide products complementary to NetScreen’s network security solutions. These products undergo testing to verify interoperability with NetScreen solutions. Consequently, information technology professionals can obtain an array of scalable solutions integrating NetScreen and alliance members’ products to create an interoperable and effective end-to-end security infrastructure.

With the Network Intelligence Engine, joint customers can collect and correlate event log data from NetScreen’s firewall, virtual private network (VPN) and intrusion detection and prevention (IDP) devices to: create a complete picture of network usage, verify security policy compliance, generate alerts for possible security breaches, and analyze and report on network performance.

One customer that is benefiting from the NetScreen-Network Intelligence solution is Aon International, a subsidiary of Aon, a Fortune 500 company that is a world leader in risk management, insurance brokering, reinsurance and human capital consulting services. With an employee base of more than 15,000 people, in more than 65 countries, Aon International needs a security event management system that can provide global management from one central console. The combined NetScreen-Network Intelligence implementation has enabled Aon to collect and correlate millions of event messages.
