Juniper Networks Expands Operations in the Benelux

Mountain View, CA - March 24, 2000 - Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq:JNPR), a leading provider of next-generation IP infrastructure systems, announced the appointment of Jan Stip as Regional Account Manager for The Benelux and Scandinavia. Based in Brussels, Mr. Stip will be responsible for all sales in his region, partner relationships, and the UUnet Europe and Ericsson global accounts.

Mr. Stip joins Juniper Networks from TimePlex where he was General Manager Carriers EMEA. He has over 10 years experience in the IT industry and has worked on most of the major telecom accounts including, KPN Telecom, Deutsche Telecom, Viag, Telfort, and Telecom Italia. Juniper Networks Benelux operations now include a sales office in Belgium and an EMEA customer service centre based in The Netherlands.

In addition to Stip's appointment, Niek van Bemmel joined Juniper as International PR Specialist. Van Bemmel will be responsible for defining PR strategy, managing external agencies in Europe and Asia Pacific, and supporting the work carried out by the Juniper sales offices in the UK, France, Germany and Benelux. Van Bemmel's previous appointments include positions at Digi International and Hewlett-Packard.

The EMEA Customer Service Centre is located in Hoofddorp, The Netherlands, and provides technical assistance for the Juniper Networks product portfolio, employing a number of resident engineers as well as a professional services department that employs highly skilled Internet consultants. The Customer Service Centre is expected to grow rapidly as demand for the Juniper Networks core routers increases across Europe.

The customer service organisation is managed by Jan Vos who is responsible for leading the team that designs, installs and supports some of the largest and most complex networks in Europe. Mr. Vos has worked in international customer service for the past seven years for companies including Alcatel and Bay Networks.
