Solutions Incubation Program

About the program

Juniper’s OpenLab Solutions Incubation Program focuses on assisting qualified independent software vendors (ISVs) and startups in the development of new interoperable SDN and network automation solutions.

“With its lab assets and technical consulting expertise, OpenLab served as a valuable resource to help us quickly build a customer self-service portal for our service provider SDN Cloud CPE offerings.”

— Andrew Hill, Chief Operating Officer, OneConfig

Through this four-month program, OpenLab provides software-focused companies with resources to build, test, and promote solutions that leverage Juniper’s SDN and programmable networking assets. Participants can join the program locally at our OpenLab facility in New Jersey, or participate remotely.

There is no fee to join the program. Participation is limited and all applicants are vetted by Juniper for appropriate solutions compatibility and value.

Scope of Solutions and Technology

The Solutions Incubation Program facilitates the development of interoperable solutions that automate and enhance network resource provisioning and management. We also strive to make it easier for companies (service providers and enterprises) to quickly roll out new services and features, while helping to rein in deployment or operational costs. The solutions targeted take advantage of Juniper technology, such as our SDN controllers, including Contrail and NorthStar, Junos Space Network Management Platform, and Junos Automation, leveraging the Junos OS.

Some examples of applications include:

  • Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) and application resource scaling
  • Traffic analysis and engineering
  • IT service and workflow automation
  • Zero Touch Provisioning for devices
