show cable modem errors

Syntax

show cable modem errors <inet ip-address | inet-cpe ip-address | interface ca-virtual-slot/docsis-slot/mac-domain <sid sid> | mac mac-address | mac-cpe mac-address | sg (identifier | subscriber-group-name)>

Description

Display error statistics for a list of cable modems. The BER, CER, and MER statistics are based on recent traffic (at least 1000 bursts) to offer sufficient accuracy.

Options

inet ip-address(Optional) Display the cable modem with the specified IP address.

inet-cpe ip-address(Optional) Display the cable modem that serves the CPE device with the specified IP address.

interface ca-virtual-slot/docsis-slot/mac-domain(Optional) Display cable modems for the specified cable interface.

mac mac-address(Optional) Display the cable modem with the specified MAC address. Specify the MAC address as six hexadecimal bytes in the following format: nn:nn:nn:nn:nn:nn. For example, 00:11:22:33:44:55.

mac-cpe mac-address(Optional) Display the cable modem that serves the CPE device with the specified MAC address.

sg identifier(Optional) Display a list of cable modems associated with the specified subscriber group identifier.

sg subscriber-group-name(Optional) Display a list of cable modems associated with the specified subscriber group name.

sid sid(Optional) Display the cable modem assigned to the specified service ID. This option requires the interface option.

Output Fields

Interface—Cable interface on which the cable modem resides.

Us—Upstream interface on which the cable modem resides.

MAC-Address—MAC address of the cable modem.

BER—Bit error rate of all packets received from the cable modem.

CER—Codeword error rate of all packets received from the cable modem (CER = CCER + UCER).

CCER—Correctable codeword error rate of all packets received from the cable modem.

UCER—Uncorrectable codeword error rate of all packets received from the cable modem.

MER—Modulation error rate of all packets received from the cable modem.

CRC—Total cyclic redundancy code errors of all packets received from the cable modem.

HCS—Total header check sequence errors of all packets received from the cable modem.
