The AP34 is a tri-band device that supports two transmit/receive spatial streams. Managed by the Juniper Mist Cloud Architecture, it delivers real-time network data and asset location services with no need for battery-powered beacons or manual calibration.

AP34 access points support 2x2:2 802.11ax networks with maximum data rates of 2400 Mbps in the 6GHz band, 1200 Mbps in the 5GHz band, and 575 Mbps in the 2.4GHz band.

Juniper industry-leading AI for AX capabilities optimize features introduced in the 802.11ax standard. 

Radio resource management (RRM) automates dynamic channel and power assignment, taking Wi-Fi and external sources of interference into account with the device’s dedicated sensor radio. 

The Mist AI engine continuously monitors coverage and capacity service-level expectation (SLE) metrics to learn about and optimize the RF environment.

A dedicated tri-band fourth radio collects data for our patent-pending Proactive Analytics and Correlation Engine (PACE).

The AP34 uses machine learning to analyze user experiences, correlate network issues, and detect the root cause of problems.

Improved IoT Battery Efficiency

By incorporating the 802.11ax target wake time (TWT) capability and Bluetooth 5.1, the access point extends battery life for IoT devices as new IoT devices enter the network.

The Juniper Mist platform automatically captures packets and streams them to the cloud when major issues are detected. 

This capability eliminates the need for expensive, time-consuming truck rolls to reproduce and capture data for troubleshooting.

The AP34 automatically connects to the Juniper Mist Cloud, downloads its configuration, and joins the appropriate network.

Firmware updates are retrieved and installed automatically, ensuring that the network is always up to date with new features, bug fixes, and security updates.

Juniper Mist Wi-Fi Assurance, User Engagement, and Asset Visibility services include a base analytics capability for analyzing up to 30 days of data.

What is the Juniper AP34 Access Point?

The AP34 is ideal for areas where you need a high-performance tri-band access point but don’t require advanced location-based services.

What Wi-Fi standards does the AP34 support?

The AP34 Access Point supports the following Wi-Fi standards:

  • 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6), including support for OFDMA, 1024-QAM, MU-MIMO, Target Wake Time (TWT), and spatial frequency reuse (BSS coloring)

  • 5 GHz – 2 x 2: 2 802.1ax up to 1200 Mbps
  • 6 GHz – 2 x 2: 2 802.1ax up to 2400 Mbps

  • 2.4 GHz/5 GHz: 1.8 Gbps
  • +6 GHz: 4.2 Gbps

Does the AP34 support virtual BLE (vBLE)?

No. The AP34 supports Bluetooth LE with a built-in omnidirectional Bluetooth antenna. The AP34 does support the Juniper Mist™ Asset Visibility service, including asset identification by name and view location, zonal/room accuracy for third-party tags, and historical analytics and telemetry for asset tags. The AP 33, AP43, AP45, and AP63 support Juniper’s virtual BLE technology.

Can the AP34 be used in outdoor environments?

The AP34 is designed for indoor environments. The AP63 is designed for outdoor environments.

What is the warranty period for the AP34 access point?

The AP34 has a limited lifetime warranty.
