VPNs

  • Support for public and private split DNS usage—Your Juniper Secure Connect application for macOS supports both private DNS servers and most public DNS servers for split tunneling use cases.

    • Caveats for using Google public DNS server—Using Google public DNS servers, 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, might not work on macOS versions such as Ventura and later. You'll observe this issue only with Google DNS servers in combination with certain macOS versions. The issue is not observed with other major public DNS services including AdGuard DNS, Alternate DNS, CleanBrowsing, Cloudflare, Control D, OpenDNS, and Quad9.

      We recommend you to use Cloudflare’s public DNS servers, 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1.
