Auto-Download a Security Package
To set up scheduled security package download from https://signatures.juniper.net/ to Juniper Security Director:
Select SRX > Device Management > Security Packages.
The Security Packages page appears.
Click the Update Latest Packages drop-down menu.
Select Auto-download Package from the drop-down menu.
The Auto-download Package window appears.
Enable the Auto-download Package option, if you want to set an auto-download and click OK.
The auto-download time is set to 1:00 AM IST everyday by default.
The security package gets downloaded to Juniper Security Director database.
Download a Security Package
To download a security package from https://signatures.juniper.net/ to Juniper Security Director:
Select SRX > Device Management > Security Packages.
The Security Packages page appears.
Click the Update Latest Packages drop-down menu.
Select Download Package from the drop-down menu.
The Download Package window appears.
Select Run Now to start downloading a security package now from the download URL provided. Or, select Schedule at a later time to schedule the download at a specific date and time.
Click OK.
The security package gets downloaded to Juniper Security Director database.
(Optional) You can download the URL categories package from https://signatures.juniper.net/utm_category_package.tgz to Juniper Security Director database by enabling the Download URL Categories toggle button.

Upload a Security Package
To manually upload a security package from your local drive to Juniper Security Director, perform the following steps. Manual upload is recommended if Juniper Security Director cannot access juniper.net.
You can only upload IPS and Application signature packages. A URL categories package is not supported.
Download the latest version of the security package at: https://signatures.juniper.net/space/2/latest/latest-space-update.zip and save it in your local drive.
Go to Juniper Security Director GUI and navigate to SRX > Device Management > Security Packages.
The Security Packages page appears.
Click the Update Latest Packages drop-down menu.
Select Upload Package from the drop-down menu.
The Upload Package window appears.
Upload the previously downloaded security package from the local drive and click OK.
